June Musings

June musings…

What I believe is:

that a singular reality doesn’t exist, but my children are right to imagine that our Irish ancestors were selkies and that the deer in the woods around our home are really fairies in disguise…

that religion is the faith in the good in humanity even when there is evidence to the contrary or that religion, for some, offers answers and, for others, questions…

that obsession is a stalled storm that sometimes brings discovery…

that insanity is the senseless destruction of a once brilliant mind or a once healthy body…

that identity transforms with every interaction…

that adventure is, I do not know, tell me what you think…

that one’s imagination doesn’t have to disappear with the passage of time…

that satire reflects the criticisms of the culture that brings it to light…

that friendship offers us refuge from loneliness…

that love is nuanced and cannot be defined by one person alone…
