El amor es como una fogata,
Si no tienes cuidado te quemarás.
This poem is so beautiful! I feel like it is both a mix of a bit of bitterness as well as appreciation of love, and it makes the poem that much deeper. I’ve heard metaphors comparing love to a fire before, but I really loved what you said about how you have to find the perfect distance from it. Great job Ricky!
I really liked this poem because it describes that love can be the best or worst feeling depending on how you deal with it. I also believe that the use of the fire to describe love was very good and thought provoking.
I enjoyed this poem a lot for many reasons. It had a very innocent vibe to it, yet that didn’t diminish the deep meaning behind the point you were displaying. Bonfires are something everyone enjoys and most have experienced, so even if one hasn’t experienced love yet, they get an idea through something they’re familiar with. I also liked the fact that it was obvious you were connecting parts of the poem to your personal life and how «it can burn you» but then «with the right distance, you’ll find love». This just goes to show how so much hope is involved with love, despite its downsides. This was beautiful Ricky, I loved it 🙂
I think this is a fantastic poem. The comparison that you made isn’t something I would associate with love, but as soon as you began to describe, I felt like it was the perfect fit, so you did a great job with it. I like the idea that being in a good place in love is like finding the right distance from the bonfire, and you might have to get hurt or be too far from it before finding that distance. Really nice job!
Ricky, this was gorgeous. Everything about this poem made my heart ache, and the comparison between the two was perfect. You did an amazing job. The way you described how love felt once you found it perfectly really resonated with me. Thank you.
Ricky I love this poem, it shows how love is something you can both gain from and be hurt from. I agree with the fact that love is like fire and can hurt you if you get too close. This poem was very good and a great read. I love you ricky.
I really liked this poem Rick because I could connect to it. Love can mean many different things to everyone and I think you described this well. It can be the best thing to happen to someone and also the worst. I really think you did a great job and you’ve got a future in poetry.
Ricky, I really enjoyed this poem. You made a great point about being in a comfortable spot, one where your happy and so you don’t get hurt. I think many people find it hard to find this comfort spot sometimes, and you described it beautifully. Nice job rick, proud of you buddy. Keep up the good work!!!!
I love the imagery in this poem! I feel like I can see and feel it while I read it and that’s such an amazing feeling. Also, I love how you explored the darker side of love. Love tends to be something people regard as only positive, never seeing the danger (or “fire”) lurking underneath. You visited this darker side beautifully!
