Victoria Laurie «When»

I loved the book «When» by Victoria Laurie. I read it in 8th grade and it took me a week to read the whole thing. My mom would drive me to school and I’d pull the book out in the car and read for ten minutes. I got to school and I would read it there. I’d finish my work fast to be able to read. In my Language Arts class we would read for the first ten minutes of class and then write about what we read the night before. After finishing that I would read more till everyone else finished. My mom would pick me up from school and I’d get on the car and, of course, pull my book out and read. I would get home and, since I barely got any homework in 8th grade, I would take a break from everything and just nap. When it was around 9:30 pm I’d get ready to go to bed and read for 30 minutes and fall asleep by 10:00 pm. I did this for a week straight. When changed my life for the better because it got me into reading books because I suddenly started getting interested in reading. After finishing the book I felt accomplished and I had the sudden urge to read other books so I looked online for more books related to When.

After finding some similar books, I got a library card and signed out books but afterwards I started high school and didn’t have the time to read books for pleasure. Up to this point I still don’t, and when I do all I think about is getting rest. But now I can actually say that I used to love reading books and I would continue too if I could. I liked reading fiction books. Mysteries and Romance were topics that I enjoyed reading about. I have recommended this book to many of my friends and recently my sister has started reading it and she loves it. After all, it is an amazing book.
